The inscriptions about the built of Tatev monastery

On the north-western wall of St. Paul and St. Peter church
Armenian year of 344 (885), Navasard 4th (August 4th) Easter, Ter Hovhannes, who was the second after Ter Soghomon, and was disposed as Syunik bishop, began to build the church himself.

On the western wall of St. Paul and St. Peter out wardly.
According to the good-adoring prince order and to the patronage of the monastery clergymen at the same year, in 895, Yarants 7th this monument-column was built (Gavazan Syun).

1. In 1053 Grigor bishop built the St. Virgin (St. Astvatztatzin) church, and the main entrance of the monastery was opened.
2. In a distance of northwest according to the support of Kirakos bishop, a stable for horses was built. Tatevian Ter Hovhannes Ghalumyan renewed again the roofs of the churches, built the hay loft, cattle-shed, sheep-shed, and a hotel in the western part for the pilgrims.
3. Ter Minas Shnataghian built cells and halls next to the great hall and the bread-house. During his years Gasper preceptor fairy supported the monastery; building table-house (dinning-room), bread-house (kitchen) and their halls.
4. In Tatev, in 1295 Stepanos Orbelyan built St. Grigor Illuminator (Lusavorich) church and the holy-room on the edge of the deep canyon.
