The Gavit
The gavit of the monastery of Tatev, like in a large number of other Armenian monasteries, held the tombs of princes of Syunik and major ecclesiastical authorities.
The building was destroyed during the XIX century in order to build the new bell-tower.

There is no documentation about this gavit, visible in some old pictures only from above. It is known that there were a large number of ancient inscriptions of which the oldest was dated 1271, which were removed and placed elsewhere.
