The Meeting Hall.
To the West of St. Gregory's church there was a vaulted gallery with arched openings on the southern side.
This building, built in 1043 by Bishop Hovhannes, the same abbot that rebuilt the church of St. Gregory, was completely destroyed during the earthquake of 1931.

These types of halls, used as a place for meetings and conversation, existed in Armenian monasteries since ancient times.
On the walls there were a large number of carved khatchkars which are still are conserved, as well as inscribed stones and carved fragments.
